The project will allow the Emeraude wastewater treatment station in Rouen (operated by Generale des Eaux) to sell the 6-7 tonnes per day of ash produced by the Pyrofluid fluidised sand bed incineration plant instead of disposing of it in licensed landfill. Emeraude generates 17 tonnes cake solids per day and takes a further 8 tonnes from sewage works in Seine Maritime county. A contract has been signed with Bonna Sabla which ran industrial scale tests in the summer of 2004 on the use of incinerator ash in the manufacture of concrete manholes and kerbs.Arnaud GarriguesMore information about CIBSTEP Program, click here.E-mailing the Editorial team of Hydroplus, click here.
